Colores del Puerto

 

 

I constantly find inspiration in far off places.  An Italian harbor is not exception to this rule.  It embodies freedom, fun, and adventure in its colors, movement, and beauty.  This picture truly transports me to another place and time with no cares in the world.  I took an impressionistic and impasto style approach to this piece. Not only does this help portray the movement of the water but it also conveys the carefree feelings of this location through the paintings imperfections. The title is the phrase "Colors of the Harbor" in Italian.
